MNSKPCL Named Joint Winner of “FPO of the Year (Large)” at FPO Impact Awards 2025 Khunti, Jharkhand | 20 December 2025

Murhu Nari Shakti Kisan Producer Company Limited (MNSKPCL), a women-led Farmer Producer Company based in Khunti district, Jharkhand, has been named the Joint Winner of the “FPO of the Year (Large)” category at the FPO Impact Awards 2025.
The award was conferred by ACCESS Development Services during the Livelihoods India Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The honour was presented by Shaji K.V., Chairman of NABARD.
Recognition of Excellence and Rural Impact
The award jury recognised MNSKPCL for its strong governance systems, sound financial performance and transformative contribution towards improving the livelihoods of tribal farming communities in Jharkhand.
This prestigious recognition celebrates the collective strength, determination and entrepreneurial spirit of thousands of tribal women farmers associated with the company.
A Women-Led Enterprise Driving Rural Transformation
Established in March 2018, MNSKPCL was promoted by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) under the CInI Lakhpati Kisan™ Smart Village Initiative. Since its establishment, the company has grown into a strong and professionally managed collective owned and governed by tribal women farmers.
Commenting on the achievement, Ms. Divya Swaroop, Chief Executive Officer, MNSKPCL, said that the recognition underscores the collective determination of tribal women farmers and the organization’s steadfast commitment to building sustainable, women-led rural enterprises. She acknowledged the continued support of NBJK, CInI, and institutional partners, and reaffirmed MNSKPCL’s mission to scale inclusive value chains and drive long-term rural prosperity.
Strengthening agricultural and allied value chains, MNSKPCL plays a pivotal role in aggregating, processing, and marketing a wide range of farm and allied produce, spanning cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruits, livestock-based products such as Goatery, poultry and pigs, as well as Indian Major Carp fish. By adopting an integrated value-chain approach, the FPO supports its members with access to quality inputs, on-ground technical guidance, and assured market connections, contributing to improved livelihoods and more resilient rural economies.
MNSKPCL has significantly expanded income opportunities through two flagship value-addition initiatives. The Lac Handicrafts initiative, supported by the ONGC Foundation through CInI and implemented by NBJK, has trained women artisans to produce eco-friendly lac jewellery and handicrafts using lac harvested from Kusum, Ber, and Palash host trees, with products gaining recognition in markets across India. Complementing this, the Finger Millet (Ragi) Value Chain – Kode Madua initiative, supported by WRI India and CInI under the JHARVEER programme, has enabled the establishment of a solar-powered ragi processing unit, benefiting over >2,000 farmers through MSP-based procurement and advanced cleaning, dehulling, processing, and packaging to supply nutritious, gluten-free ragi flour to institutional markets. Beyond value addition, MNSKPCL is building a resilient rural economy by nurturing a network of rural micro-entrepreneurs providing essential services such as polyhouse sapling production, brood lac supply, Goatery and piggery support, fish farming, and poultry mother units, strengthening last-mile service delivery while generating local employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
MNSKPCL has been named Joint Winner of the “FPO of the Year (Large)” category at the FPO Impact Awards 2025 for its strong governance, financial performance and contribution to tribal farmers’ livelihoods.
